  1 - knows the city, town or district where you are looking for a property to purchase.

  2 - always keeps you informed of any updates.

  3 - is always open and does his/her best in understanding your needs and listening to what you say.

  4 - always has a good search strategy.

  5 - doesn't mind you involving your Lawyer, Associate or Attorney if you like.

  6 - helps you understand every provision in paperwork concerrning working with him.

  7 - always has competent inspectors, appraisers and other professionals he can refer to.

I want to be a real estate broker. I was thinking could just get a broker’s license & just start off as a broker. but my mom said she thinks I have to be an agent for a while first; working under a broker before I can become one. Is that true?
